Voter education messages for Council By Elections of 14th May, 2022:
Election Date and voting Time:
The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) will conduct Council By Elections on Saturday 14th May, 2022, from 8am to 5pm.
The By Elections will be conducted to elect Councilors for Bundung Six Junction Ward, London Corner Ward, Marakissa Ward and Sanyang Ward, which seats are currently vacant.
Campaign:
Peace Messages
- Political parties and candidates should ensure that their supporters remain peaceful and orderly during their rallies and meetings.
- Offensive language must not be used during the campaign.
- Incitement of violence will not be tolerated
Voting:
Voting messages
- It is your right to vote.
- Come out and vote peacefully
- Vote and ensure by peaceful elections
- You vote at where you were registered
Note that only voters within the said Wards are to vote in the By Elections of 14th May, 2022 to choose their respective Ward Councilors.
Counting of votes will be done on the spot at the Polling Stations.
